Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 WiFi adaptor. Wireless is dropping out every few minutes. Have to restart to get wireless to reconnect. WiFi adapter driver is V3.0.2.201 27/2/2016. ASUS Support driver page lists driver version as V10.0.0.324 25/8/2015. I am confused as the V10 driver is older than the V3 one that is installed? Does atheros ar9485 support 5ghz as my phone picks it up but not my laptop. From your description I understand the issue might due to the incompatible drivers. Try to download the latest compatible drivers on your PC and use any external Storage device to transfer and install them on your Laptop.

If no updated drivers available on the Manufacturer’s website for windows 10, then trying installing drivers in compatibility mode. Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.
Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.
a. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website.
b. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘properties’.
